I Really Want to Tell You a Secret, But . . .

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned a super-secret, super-cool announcement we were going to make very soon. I'm dying to tell you, but we're waiting on one or two more small tech details before we can announce it. Mo, our primary programmer, is coding away feverishly trying to finish.

Ryan made this blog comment this past week. Since it was attached to a post from February and you'd likely never see it, I wanted to post it. Thought you’d dig it.

Ryan found PhilosophyAndPopCulture.com, which features Kyle Johnson’s philosophy podcast from Wired Parish.

Here’s what he wrote:

 

Hi. My name is ryan and I have been listening to this podcast. I stumbled upon this, not at all expecting the christian base of these philosophical questions. Despite being agnostic if border line atheist, I love this podcast. Each time they bring up an argument, I almost cringe that I’m being preached at - and to my relief I am not. The dialog in these podcasts are a refreshing discussion on arguments that are out there.

To see a faith that is rationally tested and not blindly followed gives me heart, and almost makes me want to convert. ;)

enjoyed the podcasts by Brian McLaren, Reggie McNeal, Robin Wood and the
rest.

Your podcasts, however, are why I am canceling my subscription. You
seem to be falling into a heretical chasm of pure weasality. I hate your
guts. My faith is now completely shattered thanks to your garbage.

The above is purely made up. The following is true: The Philosophy and Pop
Culture cast is by far my single favorite thing to listen to, and I look
forward to it each Monday. Have an ass-kicking blessed day.

Feedback: New Categories and New Hosts

So we have some ridiculously cool projects cooking here at the WP, and I need your feedback, input and ideas to help us shape the projects. More details as I get the green light to release them . . .

Two questions:

1. What are some categories of podcasts that we currently DON'T offer that you'd like to see?
2. Who are some podcast hosts that we currently DON'T have who you'd like to hear?

No right or wrong answers. (Although Pat McCrotch from the comments in my last post will probably be disregarded.) Give me your thoughts!

Since Britt's arrival, my to do list is actually getting shorter by the end of each day. This is fantastic!

As it turns out, Britt has handled the 439 emails and asked for my resignation. Go figure. :)

Our new assistant Britt started today. We've been friends for years. She freaking rocks. I've already cleaned out like 439 emails from my inbox and just passed them on to her. I expect her resignation by noon tomorrow. :)
